Look, I’ve seen a lot of people try to be someone else. I once spent an entire month pretending to be James Bond. Suits. Accent. Got kicked out of three Applebee’s. But do you know what I learned?
The world doesn’t need another version of someone else. It needs you. The full, unfiltered, slightly weird, possibly-too-much-at-times YOU.
There is only one person on Earth who knows your story. Who’s lived your exact experiences. Who’s eaten that many pretzels and survived. That person is you. So stop shrinking. Stop editing. Stop waiting for permission to show up.
Be loud. Be awkward. Be the person who claps when the plane lands. Because confidence isn’t about being perfect—it’s about being real in a world that’s allergic to real.
You weren’t made to blend in like a neutral-toned filing cabinet. You were made to stand out like a disco ball at a dentist office.
So shine. Speak. Ramble a little if you have to. But be you—because that’s the only person who can do what you were meant to do.
And if someone doesn’t like it?
They’re probably a Toby.
Believe in yourself,
Michael Scott
