Let me tell you something I’ve learned after years of being a manager, a mentor, and an inspiration to most of Scranton: when you’re really good at what you do, people take notice—even if they don’t understand you. Even if you wear a “Fun Jeans Friday” outfit on a Tuesday. Even if your best friend is your world’s best mug.
The goal is simple: be so good they can’t ignore you.
Or fire you.
Or assign you to sit next to Toby.
You don’t need to be the smartest in the room. You just need to be the realest. The most you. People remember passion more than perfection. Effort more than ego. And confidence more than… whatever it is that Ryan has.
Whatever you’re doing—whether it’s selling paper, planning a wedding for yourself and someone who doesn’t know it yet, or giving a speech in front of strangers—do it with everything you’ve got. Make them feel it.
Because once they see you being undeniably you, they won’t know what hit them.
Unless it’s a Dundie. In that case, aim low.
Stay legendary,
Michael Scott
